Well, Things around here are pretty nuts. The cd is selling very well, and I can't be more excited about it. "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" seems to be the DJ pick for Carolina Beach Music, which is excellent. On the College & Top 40 Stations, we are pushing "Serendipity", and it is building a solid following. Currently I am 2 shows down, on a run of 6 shows in 5 days. Tonight, I am headed to Sharky's Oyster & Raw Bar in Roanoke Rapids, NC, which is always fun. Last night was a Tax Relief/Spring Break Party at Wilson, NC's Applebee's from 10pm-1:30am. I haven't played a show that late in a while, so it was funny for me. The crowd their was pretty young, and they were lots of fun. I haven't had anyone request "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins before, but lot's of them wanted it. Apparently Top Gun is still a favorite in Wilson! I promised them if I was back, that I would have it for them! I have been working putting my band together, and it is going well. Trying to find the right players isn't easy, but it's working. My friend Shawn Simon will be playing Bass Guitar, Ben Sparrow on Saxophone, Brett Komo (not the right spelling) on lead guitar, Brandon Mooring on Keys, and Matt Kellerman on Drums. The band will be performing in both the 6 piece form as well, as in a trio form with me (on keys an guitar), Shawn, and Matt. I'm absolutely stoked for what's coming up for us. What is cool about this group, is that with the exception of Matt, all of the band members I worked with in the ECU Jazz Ensemble, and they are all monster players. In addition, the age range of the band is 19-27, which is super cool. The band will begin performing in late May, and the bookings are already coming in well for the summer and fall 2010. This mix will blend incredibly well with my current solo shows. Things are good. It's lots of fun! More Info To Come Soon!
